Prayer Breakfast kicks off week of Strawberry Festival events

HUMBOLDT, Tenn. โ€” Each year, the West Tennessee Strawberry Festival holds a prayer breakfast to cover and bless the weekโ€™s attendees and festivities.

This yearโ€™s event was held at the Humboldt Medical Conference Center.

Guests enjoyed a delicious breakfast and heartwarming messages to start the week.

โ€œItโ€™s just a great way for us all to come together and just really start our week off great with some powerful prayers to get everybody in just the right frame of mind to make for the perfect week together,โ€ said Mitzie Privitt, 87th WTSF President.

Powerful prayers were delivered from festival favorites including T.O. Lashlee, Mary Key Roe, Marquita Patterson, Mike Barker, and many more.

โ€œOur heavenly father this morning as we gather, Father we are thankful for the freedom that we enjoy not only to celebrate community but father to celebrate you,โ€ prayed guest speaker Andy Rice.

Guest speaker Chad Hollingsworth, a Chief Flight Nurse for Vanderbilt Life-Flight, delivered a message about living a โ€œberry balanced life.โ€

โ€œItโ€™s just such an important aspect to live a balanced life because so often, things happen in life or you get busy like you with the busy week that youโ€™re trying to run so many different events, and to try to stay balanced in the midst of that is tough, but if we just try to re-center ourselves around God, then a lot of times thatโ€™s gonna get you through. So, thatโ€™s what you need,โ€ Hollingsworth said.

The Strawberry Festival has many events happening through Saturday, May 10. Click here to view the full schedule.
